In the middle of a landmass the continent is obvious; at the edges, someone had to rule. This site rules the standard way and admits it: Russia counts as Europe, Turkey as Asia, Egypt as Africa. Each of the three holds territory on a second continent, and a differently minded quiz could defensibly rule otherwise. What matters for your score is that the ruling never wobbles – the same country gets the same continent on every page here.

Three rules settle most of the bank

First: the Caribbean and Central America belong to North America, which places Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Panama and Costa Rica in the same column as Canada. Second: the island states of the western Pacific belong to Oceania, which places Papua New Guinea. Third: the Caucasus and Cyprus file under Asia, so Armenia and Azerbaijan answer Asia here whatever their cultural and sporting ties to Europe suggest.
